conference seating
The type of seating arrangement chosen depends on the needs of the event and the number of people:
- boardroom style: participants are seated around one table. This is appropriate for a small number of participants and close interaction e.g. a committee meeting,
- classroom style: participants are seated behind rows of tables facing the front where one or more speakers are seated . Appropriate for training or lectures where the communication is largely one-way and listeners take notes
- theater/auditorium style: participants are seated in rows without tables facing the front. Appropriate for training or lectures where the communication is largely one-way and note-taking is unnecessary
- U-shape/T-shape: participants are seated at tables placed in a u- or t-shape. Appropriate for events where interactive communication is planned but which is attended by too many participants to allow boardroom style.
