trade register

The trade register is a public archive which lists all commercial and legal entities in the district for which the authority is responsible. The German trade register (Handelsregister) is divided into two parts:

  • Part A: lists partnerships, tradesmen and legal entities according to public law
  • Part B: lists corporations

The trade register makes public information concerning addresses, legal representatives, legal form, capital etc.
